Earlier this year said that they were working on something completely new in the department and recent document leaks alluded to a project named Titan.

The developer has now confirmed that Titan is indeed their next generation MMO project which will compliment WOW rather than replace it.

Blizzard's Frank Pearce said: "The media is not supposed to know anything about that. It's our next-gen MMO project."

He added: "We've only started talking about it in a limited fashion because we want to leverage the fact that we're working on something like that for the purpose of recruiting - getting some of the best talent in the on that project."
