Id Software has announced the release of the first game in the new RAGE franchise on the App Store.

RAGE on the iPhone, and is a first-person based on the upcoming console and title of the same name and comes in regular and HD flavours for all Apple's handheld devices.

Apple handheld owners will be the first gamers to get a crack and taking part in id's new mutant-slaughtering TV gameshow called Mutant Bash TV.

RAGE is available for 59 pence in SD for 3G, 3GS, 4, iPod Touch 2-4 and iPad and in HD for 1.19 GBP for iPhone 3GS, 4, iPod Touch 4 and iPad.
