Ignition has decided not to cancel the ambitious high-definition project War Devil after all.

The exquisitely detailed title will continue to be developed by a small team at London with the help of outsourcing under the name Project Kane.

Hassan Sadiq group chairman of UTV Ignition said: "Following a comprehensive audit of the title, assets and internal team, we have decided that a core team responsible for the Project Kane prototype will take the game into full production, led by the key vision holders."

War Devil was originally believed to have suffered the axe when Ignition downsized their London studio earlier last month.
