Final Fantasy XIV PS3 version complete and getting optimised
No problems like the PC
The PS3 version of Final Fantasy XIV is well on its way to completion according to the game's director, Nobuaki Komoto.
Komoto told Famitsu recently that they have finished porting the game over to the PS3 and are now in the process of fine-tuning it for Sony's home console.
He said: "In terms of the port, the PC version is 100% complete and running on the PS3. We're currently busy optimizing PS3 performance to make it run as smoothly as possible. We're doing everything we can to make it perform closely to the PC version, so it may prove to take more time to release. We'll also use that time to implement the fixes suggested by PC gamers."
Does this mean that the PS3 version will be delayed? Probably but at least it may not suffer as many problems as the PC version has when it finally does release.
