Bizarre Creations facing closure?
Blur's failure may have killed the studio
Activision has confirmed that they are considering the future of Bizarre Creations after rumours surfaced that the studio was to be closed making its 200-strong workforce redundant.
The studio was acquired by Activision for 67.4 million USD in 2007 on the back of its success with the Project Gotham Racing series on the Xbox and Xbox 360.
Bizarre Creations released their first two full games for the publisher this year Blur and 007 James Bond: Blood Stone, neither of which were particularly successful either critically or commercially.
It appears that the studio is on a three-month notice period and Activision has said that they are "exploring our options regarding the future of the studio, including a potential sale of the business."
