Gabe Newell co-founder and president of has been named as one of the men to know in 2011.

Forbes Magazine has named Newell in their list of Names to Know in 2011 but sadly not for the fact that Valve has made some great games like 2.

The reason behind Newell's appearance in the new list is the impressive steamroller success of their digital distribution platform Steam.

Steam has over 30 million registered users and has 1200 titles available to buy. It also boasts a growing catalog of titles.
