Austrian publisher JoWooD today announced a brand new deal with Vienna's EdelWeiss Medienwerkstatt, which will see the team's popular series of games - Yetisports, made into full-blown titles in cooperation with the publisher. Apparently, the Yetisports website from whence the penguin-Yeti double-act games can be had, is enjoying a whopping 100 million visitors per month.

Yetisports games will, we're told, be heading to the PC, consoles, and handheld platforms later this year. "Yetisports has been welcomed with open arms and total enthusiasm by gamers worldwide. We have managed to establish a widespread utilization chain, starting with the online game, which optimally covers the needs of the game-community," enthused Stephan Mahrhofer, lead manager of Edelweiss Medienwerkstatt. "After just a few weeks, numerous giants from the gaming contacted us. JoWooD tipped the scales lastly - not only because JoWooD was able to present an extremely engaged and planned for Yetisports in the electronic games' marketing arena. We are certain to have found the best business partner in JoWooD. A partner who is willing to take the right steps together with us to make Yetisports a success in the video game industry."
