Metal Gear Solid: Rising slips into 2012

Lightning Bolt Action not arriving too soon

It seems that the next entry in the Metal Gear Solid saga will not be seeing the light of day in 2011.

According to a report by Kotaku, the US site has been told that Metal Gear Solid: Rising will not be released until 2012.

The new game has also dropped the tagline of Tactical Espionage Action in favour of Lightning Bolt Action in a nod to Raiden (which means thunder and lightning in Japanese).

Metal Gear Solid: Rising will tell the story of Raiden in between MGS2 and MGS4.
