While both the PlayStation and have been subject to criticism from core gamers, is anticipating its controller-less technology to be a big seller this holiday season. In fact, the company recently upgraded its forecast in light of pre-launch buzz.

Previously, the company anticipated that Kinect would sell 3 million units through Christmas. Now, Bloomberg's Dina Bass reports that the company is expecting sales for the device to reach 5 million.

According Microsoft's Don Mattrick, achieving this milestone would "make Kinect the biggest product launch ever in terms of sales."

Kinect is set to go on sale in the United States tomorrow, while it will hit European shelves next week on November 10.
