SEGA leaves the door open for Shenmue 3
Hayes says never say never
SEGA West boss Mike Hayes has responded to the continued and overwhelming support for the return of the Shenmue series.
Hayes recently told CVG after Shenmue fans showed their desire to see the third game made on the site.
He said: "While at present we have no plans for the franchise [on next-gen consoles], the response to CVG's question has certainly shown the Shenmue legacy ignites a lot of passion among fans. Never say never..."
The last entry in the Shemmue story appeared on the Dreamcast in 2001 and the original Xbox in 2003.
