Keita Takahashi: Namco wasn't like home any more
The time was tight to leave...
The man behind Katamari, Keita Takahashi has lifted the lid on why he left Namco earlier on this year.
After what he saw as a mediocre showing at E3, Takahashi had become disillusioned with the games industry as a whole and with colleagues leaving to work on other projects he felt his time had come.
Takahashi-san told Eurogamer: "The reason why I quit Namco was because I started to feel like I didn't belong there any more. The games I was making were not necessarily the best-selling ones. I realised Namco was, as a business, going down a bit."
He added: "Also, my colleagues were leaving to do another project. I started to feel like I didn't belong there any more."
