Former Realms has boss George Broussard has mentioned that Hitman developer have had to lay off some staff and have even had a title cancelled.

In a throwaway comment on Broussard said: "Layoffs at Io Interactive (Kane&Lynch/Hitman). As many as 35, and a project cancelled. Tis' the season."

IO has only just shipped Kane and Lynch 2 and is rumoured to be working on the next Hitman game which should arrive for next so Hitman fans will be hoping that the cancelled title is another unannounced project.

Square Enix has not commented on the rumours as yet.
