Sony still scores a profit despite the flagging PSP

Sony's latest financial figures are looking much more positive for the company despite the continued economic hardships.

The company recorded a 385 billion USD profit for the second quarter of 2010 as opposed to a loss of just over 326 million USD for the same period in 2009.

The only downside to the figures are that the PSP only managed to sell as many units as the 10-year-old PS2 at 1.5 million units.

The figures prompted Sony to raise their forecast earnings for the financial year 2010 to 869 million USD.
