Angry Birds publisher Chillingo gets snapped up by EA

EA continues the casual expansion

Chillingo the publisher of the mobile phone hit Angry Birds has been bought over by Electronic Arts.

EA has reportedly shelled out somewhere in the region of 20 million USD for the iPad, iPhone and Android games publisher.

EA confirmed that they have indeed purchased the British mobile publisher but would not give any details of the deal.

The news comes as sales of Angry Birds on Android break through the 2 million barrier.
