NBA Jam could be seeing release on disc for Xbox and PS3

NBA Jam rises from the ashes of NBA Elite 11

NBA Jam has already arrived on the Wii but rumour has it that it may see a retail release on the PS3 and Xbox 360.

It was originally intended to ship as a bonus download with NBA Elite 11 (the new name for the NBA Live franchise) on October the 5th in the US and the 8th in the UK but EA Sports put an indefinite delay on NBA Elite stating that the game just isn't ready.

In the meantime, Gamefly has listed NBA Jam for release on November the 18th prompting speculation that HD version of the recent Wii release would become retail title instead of a free download with NBA Elite as was originally intended.

A spokesperson for EA Sports told Kotaku: "The development team is working hard on NBA Jam on Xbox 360 and PS3 to get it finished in time for the holidays. We are not prepared to make any announcements at this time but we should have some exciting news to share very soon."
