Dante's Inferno sequel is Riccitiello's call, says Visceral
EA CEO will determine if gamers can go to Hell with a sequel.
Job listings from Visceral Games looking for programmers to work on an action game had many speculating Dante's Inferno 2 was in the cards, though the company recently denied it was involved with such a project.
According to Visceral Games associate producer Zach Mumbach, the decision to make a follow-up title isn't one the studio can make. Rather, it's ultimately up to Electronic Art's CEO, John Riccitiello.
"We're not making the call on whether we do a sequel. I'm sure that if enough people are like, 'I got 60 dollars for Purgatory or Paradiso,' then we would make that game. But I don't know," Mumback told Joystiq. "I don't get to make those decisions."
Visceral Games is currently working on Dead Space 2, which is due for high-definition platforms in January. Eager gamers can play the prologue, Dead Space Ignition, which is slated for downloadable stores this week.
