Famitsu boss tips PSP for a big 2010
In Japan at least
The CEO of Enterbrain, the publisher behind Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, Hirozaki Hamamura seems to have high hopes for Sony's aging handheld.
Amidst the rumours of the PSP 2's appearance some time around Christmas 2011 and the imminent end of production of the PSP devkits Hamamura has predicted that the PSP will have its best year yet in 2010.
Hamamura said: "This year will be the PSP's biggest year." The reason why? Monster Hunter 3rd. The Enterbrain boss believes that selling five million copies is not unrealistic Capcom's multiplayer phenomenon.
With a 2010 line-up that includes Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Phantasy Star Portable II, Valkyria Chronicles II, Black Panther Yakuza New Chapter, Tactics Ogre and The 3rd Birthday Hamamura's prediction might just prove true.
