At the recent New York Comic Con, and announced they are bringing back the 1992 arcade classic X-Men to and XBLA.

The game is based on the one-episode pilot cartoon Pryde of the X-Men and features fan favorites, such as Wolverine, Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Storm, Colossus and Dazzler. Players will be able to engage the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants through four-player local co-op or six-player game modes.

"Just like with our comics, Marvel has a rich history of great video games, and we're happy to play our part with KONAMI reintroducing this classic to fans of all ages," said Seth Lehman, vice president of Digital Licensing for Marvel. "Fans have been clamoring for X-Men to hit consoles for 18 years now, and we're confident they'll find this re-release was worth the wait."

While no specific release date was given, it is due out sometime this fall.
