NASCAR devs sing Activision praise
Call of Duty publisher gives the team "freedom"
While Double Fine Productions head Tim Schaffer isn't the biggest fan of either Activision or its CEO Bobby Kotick, it seems the developers over at Eutechnyx have nothing but praise for the publisher.
Eutechnyx, the team Activision recently picked up to produce a new NASCAR game, told Develop that the publisher was uncommonly liberal in the way that it handled relationships with developers.
"On NASCAR, they basically said youre the racing game experts. We are here to help in any way we can, but we want you to run with your vision for the franchise'," Darren Jobling, COO of Eutechnyx, said. "Very refreshing actually."
Activision fell under fire this year when it forced Jason West and Vince Zampella, producers of the multi-million selling Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, to leave the company earlier this year.
