Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 set for October
The blue blur returns on October.
Sega has announced that Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode is set to launch this October, after being delayed earlier this year to give developers more time on the game.
Sonic 4 will hit a number of downloadable platforms, including the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade, Wii Shop Channel and iTunes App Store, on October 12, 13, 11 and 7, respectively. The title will debut at 1500 Wii Points, 1200 Microsoft Points and $14.99 / 9.99 / 12.99 / AU$19.95 on PSN.
After a 15 year hiatus, Sega is returning the highly venerated franchise to its roots with Sonic 4, complete with 2D gameplay and HD visuals.
Sega has not revealed how many episodes will make up Sonic 4, nor when the game will be completed.
