El Shaddai scoops Future Game of the Show 2010 at the TGS
Biblical action title lights the way
One of UTV Ignition's new downloadable titles, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron has caused a bit of a stir at this year's Tokyo Games Show.
The game which is based on the The Book of Enoch from from the Old Testament, won the Future Game of the Show 2010.
The biblical-themed title is a combat-based action game being developed by a team of individuals who've worked on Devil May Cry, Okami and Viewtiful Joe.
The game's director Sawaki Takeyasu said: "This was very unexpected, but it is a great honour and I am delighted toaccept such an award. We started this project 4 years ago with a strong will, in hopes to create a flagship title for all the gamers in the world. I was extremely fortunate to have such a great team to work with."
El Shaddai: Ascention of the Metatron is in development for PS3 and Xbox 360 as a downloadable title.
