'Hardly anyone plays first-person shooters on the PC,' says Tsunoda
Kudo asserts that Kinect will revolutionize gaming as Halo did FPS
Kinect lead designer Kudo Bam, there it is Tsunoda has likened Microsoft's Kinect motion controller to Halo, saying the peripheral will revolutionize how people view gesture-based gaming.
Speaking with Gamerzines, he asserted critics doubted the viability of first-person shooters on consoles until the first Halo proved otherwise. Similarly, he expects the launch of Kinect to dispel criticisms that enthusiasts have leveled at the motion gaming.
Halo did an awesome job of building a first-person shooter exclusively for the console, and now hardly anyone plays first person shooters on the PC anymore, he said. And people said the same things that they are saying now about Kinect.
Kinect is set to launch globally in November, with 16 software titles to be available as the device hits retail.
