EA taunts PC Battlefield fans with false 1943 release

Now you see it, now you don't

PC gamers were taunted by an error as a PC version of Battlefield 1943 appeared briefly on EA's US online store.

The entry initially gave PC Battlefield fans the hope of finally playing the downloadable follow-up to DICE's first game in the series Battlefield 1942 for 15 USD.

EA later announced that the entry was an error and the game has not been released on the PC after all.

EA said over Twitter: "BF 1943 PC is not available. This is an error on EA store. We are working to sort it out."
