Nintendo has promised that their next console will be something very special.

Metroid creator Yoshio Sakamoto has been teasing fans with some vague information about what we can expect from Nintendo's next piece of home hardware.

He said:" At we always have the obligation to surprise users with a new game console. We have never done what others have. We prefer to create something new that catches attention, and I think this will continue this time as well. Surely the new Nintendo machine will leave you all with your mouth open."

Given Nintendo's track record for breaking ground with dual-screens and a touch screen in a handheld, motion controls in the and now in a handheld with the 3DS, their next home console will be something special.
