Capcom has some pretty high hopes for 2 when it comes out at the end of the month.

Kenji Inafune, Capcom's global head of research and has said that they expect Dead Rising to overtake as their leading franchise.

Inafune-san told Eurogamer: "The goal for is to replace the Resident Evil franchise and become number one IP within Capcom."

He added: "As a creator, the and marketing part aside, unless you have a big goal to strive for you can't create a good game. "Until Dead Rising 2 sells we probably can't start talking about spin-offs. If it's received pretty well, yes we would consider a sequel. But at the moment we just don't know."
