Motion control not mainstream for 10 years says Mikami
It's still a gimmick
Shinji Mikami, the man behind Resident Evil and Platinum's upcoming title Vanquish has been underwhelmed by motion control so far and believes that it will take a while to catch on.
Mikami explained to UK magazine PSM3 that Kinect and Move will not make the kind of impact that Sony and Microsoft are looking for adding that motion control will not be mainstream for another 10 years.
Mikami-san stated: "I don't think motion controls will be in the gaming mainstream in the next ten years."
He continued: "When the technology gets to the point where you can just flick your eyeballs around and the computer can pick it up, you won't need a controller anymore. Obviously it's going to take a while to get there."
Thanks CVG.
