StarCraft II shifts 3 million copies in the first month
Potential game of the year?
It's fair to say that StarCraft II has been the runaway PC hit of this year and Blizzard has released the figures to prove it.
A whopping 3 million PC gamers have bought StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty in the first month.
It also managed to sell 1 million copies on release day making it the fastest-selling strategy game of all time.
Blizzard chief Mike Morhaime said: "We appreciate all the enthusiasm that players around the world have shown for StarCraft II. It was important to us to deliver an overall gameplay experience that was accessible, balanced, and fun, and its been gratifying to see how strongly the global community has already embraced the game."
