Apparently British gamers are spending record amounts of time on Call of Duty.

According to research carried out by Game Vision gamers are spending 73.9 million hours every month playing Activision's combat behemoth. This compares to just 13 million hours spent per month on Super Mario.

Other statistics gathered by the analytics firm suggested that most of those playing games like and are actually not old enough to buy the 18-rated titles in the shops.

Game Vision CEO, Sean Dromgoole did concede that the results were gathered by survey and were victim to skewing due to younger gamers' tendencies for hyperbole and older gamers wanting to play down the amount of time they spend playing games.
