In his speech on to this year's Edinburgh Interactive Sony'd Ray Maguire has said that there are no plans to adapt for 3D.

In talking about the benefits of 3D for gaming he explained that they have experimented with 3D for LittleBigPlanet to find out what the benefits are but there will not be a 3D version of the MediaMolecule's hit platformer.

Maguire said: "While there are no plans to bring 3D to LittleBigPlanet we have experimented with it to see what potential benefits there would be for gamers."

He added: "Players did experience improved depth and distance perception within the game."
