Square Enix plans to reward longtime subscribers of XI by offering bonuses when switching over to Final Fantasy XIV next month.

Siliconera details the rewards for loyal Final Fantasy XI players when making the jump to the new instalment.

All Final Fantasy XI subscribers receive a pair of Hermes's shoes in Final Fantasy XIV. Aside from the fashion statement made by donning such footwear in the game, they apparently give a movement boost.

Also offered are special names. Your character name in Final Fantasy XI will serve as your Final Fantasy XIV character's first name, whereas the server on which you played Final Fantasy XI will be used as your surname in Final Fantasy XIV.

Final Fantasy XIV will be available for on September 30. A PlayStation 3 release is expected in 2011.
