UK to get a PC download chart
ELSPA announces the first PC download chart
ELSPA has announced that there will finally be a PC downloads chart in the UK.
The new chart will be administered by Gfk ChartTrack just like the retail charts but this time the sales data will come directly from the publishers meaning that even sales from the notoriously secretive Steam will appear inform the new chart.
Sam Collins from ELSPA said: "It is great to be working with members to build a report which will not only deliver member value, but one which will help the industry realise its potential in an increasingly connected digital economy."
Gfk ChartTrack's Dorian Bloch spoke about the deal they were building at last October's London Games Conference and it will be exciting to finally see how the PC games are performing on download services.
Thanks MCV.
