LucasArts has halted of the PlayStation Portable version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2, outright cancelling the portable game's release.

IGN broke the news today following official word from LucasArts. Unfortunately, the publisher didn't offer an explanation for the cancellation.

Without a formal explanation, we're left to assume that the game was experiencing development difficulties or that made the calculation that the game would have trouble selling. An underwhelming market has led to a steady decline in the number of games sold per portable.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 will still be available on PlayStation 3, 360, Wii, and this autumn.
