id announces optional subs for Quake Live
And they don't cost the Earth either
Id has unveiled some new optional subscriptions for Quake Live players to get their teeth around.
There are two levels of subscription - Premium and Pro - both of which offer extra features that enhance the game experience over and above the existing free-to-play package.
At 1.59 GBP per month the Premium subscription adds access to a growing library of premium levels with 20 becoming available when the subscription plan launches.
It also adds an exclusive Freeze Tag mode and will store your match stats fro up to six months. Players will also be able to create their own clans and even join up to five separate clans.
The Pro subscription clocks in at 3.18 GBP per month. It includes the ability to start your own servers, determine locations, game modes and the player you want to join you. You can also invite up to three friends on Standard subscription to play Premium maps. The amount of clans you can join is doubled along with the length of time match stats are stored.
