Uncharted movie on indefinite delay
In search of a director
With the director leaving the table, chances of an Uncharted film hitting theatres in the next 18 months look suspect.
The LA Times
writes about the departure of David Russell from the project, the director apparently not able to come to terms with others working on the game-inspired movie.
Russell's departure means that Sony must find a replacement before even moving forward with casting the two main leads (Nathan and Elena). In short, it means the movie won't be able to hit theatres in 2011.
Sony is likely to still push ahead with the project, but it's been indefinitely delayed.
