Kinect not ideal for flight games
Buttons required
A Ubisoft employee outlines the case against Microsoft's motion-sensing peripheral Kinect as bad for aerial combat games.
Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. 2 narrative director Edward Douglas explains to CVG that the game wouldn't work well played with Kinect.
"My personal thought is that buttons are needed to control an aeroplane. Why would you go so far away from that kind of authenticity?"
Support from key publishers like Ubisoft will be crucial to the peripheral's long term success. It ought to be interesting to see how Namco Bandai feels about the prospect of supporting Kinect with its Ace Combat flight-action franchise.
