Outspoken Wedbush Morgan analyst has given his estimates as to what the and its games are going to cost when the console launches.

Pachter believes that the 3DS will be released at 249 USD with games costing 29 USD an increase of around 4 USD on the standard price of games.

He reckons that the technology behind the 3DS is "revolutionary" enough that people will accept the higher pricing of the games.

Pachter said: "We view the 3DS as a revolutionary device, and expect its launch to spur and software sales. Due to the unique 3DS experience previewed by at E3 this year, we believe Nintendo will be able to sell millions of units even at a price of upwards of 250 USD."

He added: "From a software perspective, we believe Nintendo will be able to increase DS software prices, from a blended average of around 25 USD today to over 29 USD next year."
