Despite markedly poor of the game released in May, developer is insisting that sequels of are a good idea.

GamerZine spoke with Nick Davies of Bizarre Creations who confidently confirmed plans for several sequels to the multiplayer-focused racer.

After blaming with Split/Second and ModNation Racers (both of which didn't sell tons of copies either) for the game's poor showing, Davies explains that successive instalments are part of "the plan to make [Blur] the number one racing franchise."

While it's possible a sequel could sell more copies, it seems like a tough hill to climb for Blur to become the top racing franchise.
