Activision has responded to Tim Schafer's comments from an interview yesterday calling their CEO, Bobby Kotick, "a total prick" and stating that he "makes a big deal about not liking games".

The publishing behemoth's PR machine shot into after Schafer's comments yesterday made the headlines all over the gaming press.

Senior VP of corporate communications, Maryanne Lataif told IndustryGamers: "Tim Schafer's comment that 'makes a big deal about not liking games' just isn't true. Bobby has always been passionate about games, and loves the video game industry. But as CEO of a company that makes games enjoyed by millions of people worldwide, the demands on his time now make it difficult to play games as often as he'd like to or as much as he once did."

She also added that, has noted that he has never actually met Bobby Kotick.

Schafer's comments were prompted by his own personal experiences of after being locked in a law suit with the company over the publishing rights to Doublefine's most recent title Brutal Legend.
