Xbox Live Arcade revamp next week
Summer of fun
Microsoft's planned renovation of Xbox Live Arcade has been pushed back a week, making July 21 the date on which the new Destination Arcade will open its virtual doors.
As Major Nelson writes on his blog, the delay in launching Destination Arcade is intended to sync with the start of the Summer of Arcade, a promotion featuring five downloadable games.
A new game will be made available each week starting with Limbo. Hydro Thunder Hurricane, Castlevania: Harmony of Despair, and Monday Night Combat will follow. Lara Croft and the Guardian of the Light will wrap up the promotion in mid-August.
Microsoft is offering 1200 Microsoft Points back if you purchase all five games. Unfortunately, Destination Arcade will be available only in the US.
