THQ thinks 3DS will nip piracy
Days are numbered
Gone are the days of rampant handheld games piracy - that's if THQ's assumptions about Nintendo 3DS prove correct.
CVG spoke with executive vice president of global publishing Ian Curran about the prospect of THQ supporting Nintendo 3DS to which Curran expressed unbridled excitement.
"What excites me even more is that there's technology built in that device to really combat piracy. Therefore the opportunity for people to invest more in product development and bring more 3DS products to market comes out of that."
Although every publisher asserts a piracy fix with each new platform, the proof will be in the pudding when Nintendo 3DS launches next spring.
