Sony's has said that they are pricing to make sure that it remains competetive without losing money.

Yochida told Develop that they are approacing the launch of Move as if they were launching a new platform.

Yoshida-san said: "We are pricing Move as if we are launching a new platform. So because the install base of Move will help third party studios create games for it, we benefit by helping those third-parties. But we are not losing money with each one we sell."

Move will launch in three forms: individually packaged peripherals, a starter pack featuring the main controller and the PS Eye and a bundle incorporating the starter pack and a PS3 console. It launches this September.
