New Mortal Kombat prepares for action
No Deception here
US publisher and developer Midway has revealed that their sixth and latest Mortal Kombat title will be called Mortal Kombat: Deception, as predicted by reports which followed the firm's registration of the trademark. The game will be out on the PS2 and Xbox later this year.
As with Deadly Alliance, the new title will include a Konquest mode to introduce the controls and the characters - and a blend of hand-to-hand and weapons based fighting will feature. Baraka, Mileena, Scorpion and Sub-Zero are rumoured to be returning, and we're also told that a decision on a Cube version has yet to be made.
The game should be playable at E3 in May, and is due out at the end of the year, offering impressive multiplayer support for both PS2 Online and Xbox Live.
