3DS can cater for a mature audience says SEGA
Saints Row and MGS can boost the 3DS's mature credentials
SEGA West president, Mike Hayes believes firmly that the 3DS can court a mature audience where the Wii and DS have failed.
Hayes told GamesIndustry.biz that he reckoned that the 3DS has the potential to court an older, wider audience than Nintendo's current platforms.
Inclusion for franchises like Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, Assassin's Creed and Saints Row can help increase the 3DS's credibility with mature hardcore gamers.
Hayes expalained: "With the quality of the device they've got it's possible they can expand their audience into an older, broader audience. It was interesting to see games like Saint's Row on the device. If we could bring, let's say, a House of the Dead or an Aliens title, if the audience for 3DS is much broader it could give us much more scope in that market, and that's as exciting as well as Mario & Sonic and Monkey Ball games."
