Spector gives Lara a hand
Deus Ex man to assist new developer
Eminent game designer Warren Spector, creator of the Deus Ex series at Ion Storm, is rumoured to be lending a hand on the design and development of the next, and might we say pivotal, Tomb Raider game. The Angel of Darkness, Lara's most recent outing, was critically mauled; damaging sales and also being blamed for the summer movie's limited success. Now, an issue of the Official Xbox magazine is said to carry word that Spector is working with new Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics on ensuring the next game lives-up to expectations, cementing the future of the brand for publisher Eidos.
Core Design were previously home to Lara's games, until Eidos relieved the developer of Ms Croft, and certainly something a little fresh is the order of the day as Lara's games have slipped into mediocrity of late. More on Spector's involvement at CD as we get it. Thanks to VE3D.com for this news.
