Electronic Arts yesterday confirmed a brand new fantasy-styled real-time game, Armies of Exigo, which is currently in at Black Hole Games. The game, which is currently being created under this unconfirmed working title, will be released this Autumn, and the publisher seems pleased "that [the game] leverages the studio's cinematic expertise and ability to deliver captivating entertainment to a worldwide audience." Worlds collide in Armies of Exigo, where the traditional boundaries of the battlefield are smashed and war is waged both above and below the ground. Armies of Exigo locks elves, beasts, knights, and creatures of the darkness in an epic battle for survival where armies can delve deep underground to advance undetected and then tunnel to the surface to unleash powerful attacks on their unsuspecting enemies.
"The team at Black Hole Games is a talented group that has been busy creating leading visuals and writing next generation programming code," gushed Greg Richardson, VP of Business Development at EA. "We feel that a marriage of their great technology and art with our seasoned production team will result in a fantastic experience."
