Britain is in for a lengthy wait for streaming games service if a pledge by partnering company BT to launch before the end of 2011 is any indication.

PCR questioned a BT representative about the scheduled launch of OnLive in the UK, to which the company spokesperson offered a vague 2011 release.

"Well announce further details about our launch plans later this year, but we would hope to make it available by the end of 2011."

That's a long time to wait for a service that is set to launch in the in two weeks. Americans will have the opportunity to tap into the innovative service starting June 17, but the rest of the world is going to have to wait patiently.
