As a 25th anniversary gift has given a rebrand.

The change in logo seems to be marking a shift in the developer's focus having already undergone a 'restructuring'. This included the cancellation of several of their more traditional franchises including the sequel to one of their 360 launch titles Kameo 2.

Studio head Mark Betteridge explained the rebrand to CVG: "Both Rare and the games have seen massive changes over the past 25 years, and right now it feels as if both we and the industry are continuing to evolve at an ever-increasing pace."

He added: "With this landmark anniversary coming up, and knowing that we have a really exciting future ahead, we felt now was the time to have a new image more in keeping with an innovative and creative entertainment company which aspires to be around for at least the next 25 years!"

What does this mean for Rare's future? We will find out soon enough.
