Namco Bandai plan to release their bloodthirsty retro remake Splatterhouse just in time for Halloween.

With Halloween falling on a Sunday this year, the release will fall on the 29th of October.

The remake promises to follow directly in the footsteps of the original 1988 version by being exceptionally violent and gory.

Namco actually saved the title from slipping through the cracks by taking over the project when original developer BottleRocket closed its doors back in 2009.

Thanks MCV.
