Phantasy Star Portable 2 gets Western release
Phantasy Star still burning bright
The latest in the Phantasy Star saga, Phantasy Star Portable 2, is set for a Western debut.
Sega's futuristic answer to Monster Hunter will be come to Europe and the US - albeit a bit delayed.
Phantasy Star Portable 2 will pick up the storyline three years on from the first game. It will include the local ad hoc multiplayer and will add the online multiplayer notch to its belt. This gives it an advantage over Monster Hunter and may make gamers more likely to chose it over Capcom's big PSP seller in the West.
In Japan the game started strongly but had the misfortune of being up against New Super Mario Bros Wii in its first week, only managing to come in at second place in the charts despite selling 286,000 copies.
