MLB fan, Wade Gilberry has pitched himself into the money by pitching the perfect game in Sports' MLB 2K10 competition.

Gilberry wasn't sure about getting MLB 2K10 after not really getting the hang of batting in the demo. A little bit of encouragement from his wife and next thing Mr Gilberry knows he has won 1 million USD.

Gilberry said: "It was actually my wife who convinced me to go for it. I never thought I'd actually win a million dollars playing a video game, it's all still sinking in for me."

2K Sports' Jason Argent said: "This was an amazing ride for us. We honestly had no idea what to expect. But the incredible response from the fans and the buzz surrounding the competition was nothing that we could have ever predicted. Throwing a perfect game in Major League Baseball 2K10 is anything but easy. We congratulate Wade on his successful pursuit of perfection."
